Protection of cultural heritage – conservation and revitalisation of the cultural-tourist site “St. George”, Staro Nagoricane

The project “Conservation and revitalisation of the cultural-tourist site “St. George”, Staro Nagoricane is financed uder IPA Component I – TAIB 2009.

The project aims at the conservation and revitalisation of the monastery complex of St. George in Staro Nagoricane thus triggering economic regeneration in the municipality to the benefit of both local people and visitors and contributing the enhancement of the cross border cooperation with the Republic of Serbia through the promotion of the shared cultural heritage.

The total amount of the project (Direct Grant, 2 Framework contracts and Works Contract) is 1.123.430,00 EUR.

The project is implemented by: “VIA” DOO VEVCANI (Works Contract); PLANET AE, Greece and  AGRICONSULTING EUROPE SA, Belgium (Framework contracts) and National Conservation Centre (Direct Grant).

The Beneficiary institutions are: Ministry of Culture, Cultural Heritage Protection Office and National Conservation Centre.
