Final event of the Twinning project “Further support to the implementation of the National Qualifications Framework” MK IPA 17 SO 01 21

The official final event of the EU funded Twinning project “Further support to the implementation of the National Qualifications Framework” was held on 13 December 2023, at the Marriott Hotel.

At the event, addresses were delivered by Mr. Jeton Shaqiri, Minister of Education and Science, Ms. Marie Madeleine Kanellopoulou, head of the Section for Economic Affairs, Delegation of the European Union, H. E. Ms. Vilma Dambrauskienė, Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania, H. E. Mr. Cyrille Baumgartner, Ambassador of France and H. E. Mr. Gregor Presker, Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia.

Ms. Agnė Kudarauskienė, Member State Project Leader and Mr. Borcho Aleksov, BC Project Leader presented the activities carried out during the implementation of the project and the results of the project itself.

The overall objective of the Project was further strengthening and operationalization of the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) aiming to increase the employability, mobility and social integration of workers and learners. The project supported the effectiveness of NQF and especially focused on:

    • development and implementation of quality assurance (QA) process/procedures;
    • transparency and governance of skills and qualifications in a lifelong learning perspective of general, vocational education and training (VET) and higher education;
    • improving the quality and better adaptability of education and training in line with the requirements from labour market needs;
    • linking formal, non-formal and informal learning; and
    • supporting the validation of learning outcomes acquired in different settings.

The project was funded by the European Union with a total budget of 1.5 million EUR, and the implementation period was 27 months.
